A Czech double bass labeled "Emanuel Adam Homolka, fecit Welwarii Anno 1848". This 3/4 size instrument features a spruce top, maple flatback, maple ribs, and maple neck/scroll. It carries ebony fittings, a maple bridge, and individual steel tuning machines with ebony hatpegs. This would make a fantastic jazz bass, offering a smooth and warm sound with easy response.
