A beautiful, large 3/4 size double bass labeled Ernst Kessler, Berlin, 1891. This instrument features a slightly figured spruce top, maple flatback, maple ribs, and beech neck/scroll. It carries ebony fittings, an adjustable maple bridge, and a Threlkeld chromatic C-extension. Restoration work was completed by Nick Lloyd and this bass is very healthy.
