1941 Kay S-51, 5-string

1941 5-string Kay, #8928. In 1946, bassist Chubby Jackson began endorsing the S-51, which became commonly known as the “Chubby Jackson Model”. Since this instrument was manufactured in 1941, we are calling it the “Pre-Chubby Jackson”. This bass is in excellent condition, with NO neck damage and a recent BVS set-up, including a new Despiau bridge, fingerboard dressing, tailgut, and Supernil strings.
